What you can expect.

This mindfulness meditation group includes three parts: didactic teaching, guided meditation, and discussion. The teaching part will be a short talk on, or related to, mindfulness (e.g. letting go, kindness, “nowness,” etc.) The guided meditation will invite participants to cultivate: concentration, insight/wisdom, and kindness. Discussion can be open and catered to the curiosities and interests of the participants. Overall, we are learning to be present with what is, the entire human experience; we are learning how to “push the pause button” on our constant reactivity to the internal and external stimuli of our life. This “pause practice” can support us in re-entering the busyness of our lives with a little more space, ease, and lightness.

About R.J. Rongcal

I am a certified mindfulness teacher, and I have been teaching meditation since 2015. My focus is on relieving stress and anxiety through mindfulness or being present, non-judgmentally. Presence is central to relieving stress and anxiety, and there are clear, tried-and-true instructions for training in how to be present. This is mindfulness meditation, the practice of training your heart and mind to be here now - and thus, to be more kind, patient, and loving.
