I am a 500 hour certified yoga teacher with additional study in advanced yogic philosophy, meditation, and embodied practice. As the founder/Chief Serving Officer of Active Peace Yoga, I teach hatha yoga asana, philosophy, meditation, and somatic awareness practices to all walks of life.
Adopting a disciplined yogic practice saved my life and I am committed to sharing these practices to help all find similar peace of mind. My wellness journey was born of curiosity; forged in adversity due to a toxic employment situation; and has become a lesson in surrender to the miracles that exist in commitment to personal peace and wellbeing as a foundation, rather than an afterthought. I have never forgotten that to be an effective teacher, one must never lose the heart of a student. And from the vulnerability and compassion of that heart, I freely share from my training and lived experience.
My dharma sits at the intersection of bringing more peace and balance to activists, guiding the wellness community toward being more engaged, concerned citizens, and enhancing the well-being of everybody. Achieving this balance is how we catalyze transformative change in our society, which we are desperately in need of at this moment.
